Compostable Packaging

Compostable packaging refers to solutions that use natural materials which are receptive to the composting conditions required to speed up the process of biodegradation. What is important to note is that compostable materials are not designed to degrade in landfills, and need to be identified as organic waste in order to be diverted to composting facilities.

Biodegradable packaging has the ability to break down, safely and relatively quickly, by biological means, into the raw materials of nature without leaving any toxic substances, either from the process of degradation or as the end result.

Recyclable packaging focuses on materials that are able to convert into usable products, either for a similar purpose, or as a component or material for something completely different.
