Greg Moody, Managing Director
of AFC has recently acquired 50% of the equity of AFC from the
chairman Dr. Basil Budke, and other shareholders. This gives a
new vision to the company and Greg assures us all that we will
continue to serve the various industry segments we do as well as
looking at new developments for the future.

CAPE After a very successful
training session in 3 major business cities in South Africa,
Peter Ayling, founder of CAPE, said that he was enthused by
the level of understanding most of the attendees had and that
he wanted to see the local South African market grow to the
involvement of logistics that employees in the European, UK
and USA were at. In recessionary times savings are more important
than sales increases.

We have relocated our
office in the same office park, Westlake Square, but have doubled
the size we occupy. This has given us the facility of a training
and/or meeting room, as well as a small storeroom and an additional
workstation area for building those creative packaging solutions.

Tropic Plastics was
recently audited by the food specialists to approve them for
manufacturing packaging for direct contact with food. They
passed with flying colours. Certificates are available on request
along with BEE certification etc.

CAPE is introducing
an extended service of warehouse and picking management systems
being owned by their parents in the USA. Various installations
around the world have used the expertise of CAPE Systems Inc.
and they are available for consultation in Southern Africa
through our offices at any time. We have just re-launched the
Pallet Lite software for quick solutions to case configuration
on pallets and into containers. This is being discounted for
a promotion period of 3 months.
